Bio
I was born in Maryland, but spent most of my life in Michigan, where I graduated from high school, got my first job, and attended my first university courses. From there, I moved to Port Angeles for a year to attend Peninsula College. I was still unsure what I wanted to do, and took various general education courses. I moved to Seattle the year after that to pursue a Bachelor's degree being offered at North Seattle College for Application Development. I eventually graduated with the degree in 2018. While seeking jobs, I worked briefly at Home Depot. My first job in the field was I obtained in 2021, and the second was late 2021 - March of 2022, both remote jobs. I'm currently working for EY (Ernst and Young), and living in San Antonio, Texas.
When I'm not coding, I can usually be found wood working, reading, playing pickleball, or decompressing from those activities. Lately I've been into working on the lathe, which has provided the perfect distraction from current stressful world events. I've produced tops, pens, instruments, dishes, and other such items that can be created out of wood. I'm also a life-long gamer who achieved Grandmaster ranking in Starcraft 2, twitch streamer, inactive small business owner, violinist, philosopher, physicist, and general problem solver. One of my favorite books is the Art of Learning by Josh Waitzkin and I'm a lifelong student of many disciplines who loves to take on new challenges.
